Masterplan developers are figuring out how to win the hearts of millennials. What they have discovered is that millennials value organic, unplanned, experience-based housing amenities most. What does that mean, you say? Let us give you some great examples:
An impromptu summer concert series with food trucks set on a beautiful lake, a covered outdoor dining space with picnic tables, games like Jenga and chess and a half-court basketball court for neighborly pick-up games, a wine club where neighbors can socialize while enjoying snacks and a glass of vino and finally a beer garden with sand volleyball courts and cornhole (a favorite pastime for millennials) rounds out the list.
Kate Seabaugh, Research Manager at John Burns Real Estate Consulting, has identified the developers that are doing this and doing it well.
